ALIA welcomes Dennis L. Picco, K.C. to its Board of Directors

ALIA is pleased to announce the appointment of Dennis L. Picco, K.C. to its Board of Directors, effective June 3, 2025.

A seasoned litigator and arbitrator, Dennis brings over three decades of legal experience, with a practice focused on contract disputes, construction law, risk management, and insurance. As a partner in Dentons Canada’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution group, he has represented leading construction and engineering firms in complex arbitration proceedings and high-stakes infrastructure projects across Canada.

Dennis was the Managing Partner at Dentons Edmonton office for five years and served as a member of the Dentons Canada Board and the Global Risk Management Committee. Additionally, he chaired the Canada Risk Committee.

Recognized as Queen’s Counsel (now King’s Counsel) in 2012, Dennis has earned accolades from respected legal publications. Dennis regularly shares his expertise through presentations to professional audiences, including the Canadian Bar Association, the Legal Education Society of Alberta, and The Canadian Institute.

Dennis’s strategic insight, governance experience, and deep understanding of dispute resolution will be a valuable asset to the Board.
